Some of us are pedestrians because we hate driving. Walking is a healthy and smart way to cut down on transportation costs and the gym bill. Take time to celebrate nature by walking through it! Now that I am also riding a bicycle, this blog will feature some of my thoughts on this new mode of transportation.

Walking Everywhere, and Anywhere!
Every now and then I will update this blog with thoughts about walking, and being a pedestrian in Southern California. Between 2014-2017, this blog also featured several posts about my bicycle adventures around Southern California, but as of 2018 I am back to just being a pedestrian. Riding a bike was fun until someone through a water bottle in my chain one day late at night, so since that time I have just felt safer walking.

Walking To The Recycling Center
As I was walking my empty cans and bottles to the recycling center, it made me think about how I really want to stop drinking soda again. I have not drank soda for a couple of days, but over the last few months I have been drinking more of it than than I had for awhile. Even drinking juice creates bottles that need to be recycled, and even though I am recycling, each of these bottles still create a bit of waste. However, I often feel drinking tea is best because at least I am not creating lots of waste with this beverage, and it still takes energy to recycle bottles and cans. I sort of wish we could have milk delivery even, which comes with reusable milk bottles. I am not a big milk drinker, but it is good in coffee and baking.
